The first meeting to establish the Organizing Committee for the 48th Military World Fencing Championship was held

On April 3rd, chaired by the Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Enrique Biosca Vázquez, the meeting to establish the organizing committee for the 48th Military World Fencing Championship was held. The event will take place in Seville from September 15th to 21st, 2025. This event will be a highly significant international event that will bring together military delegations from around the world.

The meeting marked the official start of the organizational work for the championship. During the session, Lieutenant General Biosca thanked the committee members for their collaboration in organizing this world championship, which is included in the International Military Sports Council's plan of activities. Following this, the committee's general coordinator, Colonel Pedro A. Díaz Herrero, presented all the aspects involved in organizing an event of this nature, allowing each area manager to begin the corresponding planning.

The attendees agreed that the meeting was highly satisfactory, highlighting the spirit of cooperation and commitment demonstrated by all participants.

This meeting officially sets in motion the organizational framework that will make possible the holding of a championship that will once again place Spain at the center of the international military sports scene.
